The aim of the Flexgas project is to demonstrate potential advantages of the fluidized-bed gasification by the combined use of biomass, waste and coal. Therefore different plant sizes as well as suitable technology for a carbon dioxide reduction will be determined.

Special attention is paid to the influence of the used fuels, combinations of fuels and gasifiying medium on the quality of the producer gas.
